WOW! Being Calm is a masterpiece. I am very impressed, how the leading author Navnish Khera compiled this “children’s book” with her daughter. It’s captivating, informative, engaging and transformative, even for parents. It’s a great book to build relationship between parents and children whether they are an introvert or extrovert. This book should be in every home and classroom. My wife Divya, enjoys reading this book to our 7 month old son Nathan.
Being Calm is Powerful! This is such a fantastic book! I love how readers see Flutterpie model great mindfulness strategies to help out her friend who is in need. Being Calm is powerful indeed! My children enjoyed practicing the kid-friendly yoga poses in this book with Flutterpie. As a therapist, I love the emphasis on mindfulness which leads to being happy and healthy in life!.
This is a wonderful book that teaches ways to calm yourself down through breathing exercises in the time of stress. Studies says children as young as 5 yr old can be stressed. Bullying and teasing by others at school or playground or anywhere can be the reason behind it. So children need to learn how to overcome it and deal with such situations calmly and mindfully. In this book authors not only explain why the yoga poses are important, but also beautifully illustrated the poses and accompany it with a positive affirmation or mantra to feel them better while doing the yogas. From tree pose to warrior pose, this book will spark children’s interest in this ancient practice. This is a very relatable, informative, and totally engaging for kids and adults. My children get motivated to do yoga after reading this book. I love the message and educational aspect of this book. ..
I really enjoyed the message of empathy that the author is sending out. A good read for parents and primary teachers to share with their children or students. The illustrations are very colourful and eye-catching, which young children will enjoy. The questions at the end of the book are also a great idea as parents/teachers can dig more into the story and talk with their children. Well done!

Simple, yet engaging story for young kids. My son enjoyed the bright, colourful illustrations throughout the book. The book also has some lessons on friendship and kindness. Highly recommended.
